Teacher Workshops

Project Learning Tree workshops offered by Oregon State University can assist you and
your team to locate or design new, creative, and challenging student activities suitable to achieve and advance most education goals across the curriculum. Project Learning Tree uses "the forest as a window" to improve student understanding of environmental concepts and processes. Suitable for use with Pre-K - 8 students, the Project Learning Tree Activity Guide contains 96 user-friendly lessons based on five themes:

  • Diversity
  • Interrelationships
  • Systems
  • Structure and Scale
  • Patterns of Change

Incorporating constructivism, whole language, cooperative learning, and problem solving skills, each activity also includes opportunities for student assessment.
