Magness Memorial Tree Farms offers bunkhouse rentals for youth and school groups who are participating in our education programs.

The three rustic log bunkhouses include use of the picnic shelter and campfire pit. Portable restrooms are located near the cabins, but groups can also rent the Edmund Hayes Education Center which has a full kitchen, showers and modern restrooms.

The tree farm and meadow are open to the public daily.

Bunkhouses can be rented individually or as a unit. They are great for youth and school groups who are participating in our education programs. To reserve, call 503-488-2147.

  • Lighting and electricity not available at small picnic shelter.
  • Fire pit area is included with small picnic shelter.
  • Flag pole provided and bench seating for 40-45 adults or 50-60 youth.
  • Wheelbarrows are provided for transportation of sleeping and food items.
  • Trail lighting is provided form parking lot to meadow.

 

 

Edmund Hayes Education Center

  • Classroom, kitchen, indoor restrooms and showers.
  • NO sleeping allowed in this building.
  • Education Center is 30' x 35' with the only heat being a wood stove that heats kitchen and education area.
  • Kitchen includes 2 refrigerators, 1 microwave, a 4-burner stove and oven. Dishes, silverware, and cooking utensils are NOT provided.
  • Trail lighting is provided from parking lot to Education Center and to meadow.

  • Includes us of 2 outdoor restrooms.

  • Includes fire pit, charcoal grill, firewood and 2 outdoor restrooms.
  • Undercover seating for up to 24 (3 tables).
  • Benches around fire pit can seat 40-45 adults, or 50-60 youth.

Overnight use with cabin rental $25

  • Two restrooms include showers, toilets and sinks.
    Baseboard electrical heat.
  • Towels are NOT provided.
  • Located in the Edmund Hayes Education Center

 

Rental Hours

Day use: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Overnight: 2:00 p.m. - Noon the following day

Reservations/Payment/DeposiT

  • Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Full balance must be paid 30 days before rental day.
  • Tent camping prohibited.
  • Alcohol is strictly forbidden.
  • Groups will be charged for any damage or extra-ordinary clean-up required.
